Quick Stats
Name:Patrick “Vitamin P” Sullivan Jr.
Age: 29, but right on the cusp of 30 So much for my twenties. I turned 30 in early February 2007.
Humor: Dry to very dry
Politics: TRADITIONALIST, CONSERVATIVE republican
Health: Excellent! (But knock on wood because I’m scared of my genes)
Favorite Album: Pinkerton by Weezer
Favorite time of day: Whenever I can get shitake done! Usually from 4pm to 7pm.
Least favorite time of day: When I don’t feel like getting anything done. Usually from 2pm and 4pm. (Ciesta anyone?)
Most upsetting thing I’ve learned in the past two years: Science, medicine, and health are all 99% political and capitalistic. It’s status quo and “follow the money.” And no where does arrogance run more rampant than in the halls of medicine. Sad, but true.

Work
Most of my waking hours, I am the president and co-founder of Jigsaw Health. My dad, Pat Sullivan, is the CEO and co-founder. He’s the guy on the website, I’m the guy behind the website.

I’m not officially a junior, but I add “Jr.” to my name in an attempt to ease the confusion between Pat and myself. It rarely works.

Jigsaw Health is a great little/BIG company. (Be small, think BIG. –Seth Godin) It was launched on April 19, 2005. We sell a broad range of premium health foods, wellness products, and dietary supplements. Our flagship product is Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT.

I tell people that the products were designed by and for one person — Pat Sullivan. Why? Well, when you design for one real person rather than one or many mythical people, you always hit your target. And we at least know that our products work for the boss!

(Turns out, thousands of other customers since April 2005 have been finding out that our products work pretty darn good for them, too.)

I am very passionate and dedicated with what we are doing at Jigsaw Health. Aside from having great products and a phenomenal website with hundreds of pages of educational firsthand research, our real differentiator is superior customer service. I tell every new customer service rep that when they pick up the phone, I want them to think, “What would I want Jigsaw to do if it were me calling?”

The answer every time is to feel delighted and make things right.

My work does takes up a lot of my time — I snicker at the irony of that as I write this at 2:32am — but it doesn’t take all of it…

Music
Pretty much the rest of my waking time is spent playing music and promoting shows. I’m in an orginal band called Nigel (as in Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap) and a Weezer tribute band, Budweezer.

Sadly for the audience, I am the lead singer of both bands. I have no idea how this came to be since I am a guitar player who would much rather jump around the stage singing harmonies.

Say it ain’t so, I may have typecast myself.

Politics
I’m a very strong conservative, which makes me somewhat of an oddity in the power-pop-alternative-indie-rock scene. But I’m ok with that because I know why I have the view I have.

I’ve realized for a long time that important decisions almost always come down to the lesser of two evils. As Dennis Prager — my favorite radio hosts says — “I’m a practicalist, not an idealist.”

Me too.

And I think there is more than enough evidence to support and vote for those who see world-jihad-domination as the biggest threat to our way of life as opposed to say, global warming.

Podcasting & Blogging
I’ve been blogging pretty regularly for over a year with my dad at Pat Sullivan Blog. But with the advent of joining the Health Hacks Podcast team, I decided it was time to branch out. (Plus, I’m liking WordPress so-o-o-o-o much more than TypePad!)

GNMI still blog in both places, but this is where I podcast.

You can also hear me (almost) every week on the Health Hacks Podcast.
